Newspapers
National and local newspapers are located in a wide shelving unit along-side the magazines on the second floor in the Adult Services Department. Newspapers may not be borrowed. The Library keeps individual issues for various durations, from 1 to 12 months depending on the newspaper.

Magazines in Youth Services
Magazines in the Youth Services Department are divided into two main collections for children: preschool and elementary school. There are some subscriptions for parents, as well as some that are for professional use by the Youth Services Staff.
Most magazines are kept for 5 years; a couple of exceptions are Pack-o-Fun, Plays, and Zoobooks, which are kept indefinitely. Professional magazines for staff use are also kept indefinitely.
