Navigating Rome: The Vatican and St. Peters -

Are you planning a trip to Rome or do you enjoy being an armchair traveler? In this talk, Dr. Rosie May, art historian and museum educator will give an overview of the fascinating and somewhat scandalous history of St. Peters and the Vatican. Ambition, competition, and political maneuvering were the driving force behind the architectural marvel that is St. Peter’s and the many palaces and extensive art collections of the Vatican. Dr. May will direct you towards other places to visit in the city to see more works by the artists and architects who showcased their talents at the Vatican. She will also offer some practical tips on visiting Rome and these two major tourist destinations.

Knit at the Library -

Do you enjoy knitting? Would you like to share your passion with others? The Library Knitting Club will meet on the second Saturday of every month, from 10am to 11:30. Caring for Bonsai Trees -

Scott Yelich, owner of Eagle Creek Bonsai and President of the Indianapolis Bonsai Club, will bring bonsai tress to the Library to give a talk on their care and maintenance. He will also talk about the upcoming bonsai convention being hosted by the Club.
